Vanice Regina Lírio do Valle

Vanice Regina Lírio do Valle has over 30 (thirty) years of experience with Administrative and Social Security Law, with a vast practice in administrative procedure, litigation and consulting. She also has a background in executive functions in the governmental field, having acted as former Secretary of Administration of the Rio de Janeiro Municipality, and Secretary of Administration and Restructuring for the Rio de Janeiro State Government.

Vanice has been engaged in the public sector, providing legal representation to the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Government, and acting as the Director of the Legal Study Center at Procuradoria Geral do Município do Rio de Janeiro. The combination of previous executive functions in the Public Administration and her career as a public lawyer allows Vanice to associate personal and practical experience in the public sector, with the needed legal view of conflicts, enabling a pragmatic and multidisciplinary perspective.

In the academic field, Vanice is a former Visiting Fellow at the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School; has a post-doctorate in Administration from the Brazilian School on Public Administration (EBAPE/FGV), and a Doctorate degree from Gama Filho University. Permanent professor at the Master’s and Doctorate degree Program in Estacio de Sá University, Vanice is also a visiting professor at the Magistrate’s School in Rio de Janeiro, among many other institutions. With more than a hundred articles published, Vanice is also author of many books in Administrative and Constitutional Law, such as “Fundamental rights to a good administration” and “Public policy, fundamental rights and judicial review”. Vanice is a constant presence in lectures and seminars all around the country.
